Job Title: P.E Teacher / Sport Coach
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Summary
The PHE Teacher will be responsible for promoting physical fitness, health education, and overall wellness among primary school pupils.
The ideal candidate will design and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons and activities that foster physical development, teamwork, discipline, and healthy habits.
Job Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and developmentally appropriate Physical and Health Education lessons for primary school pupils.
Introduce students to a variety of physical activities, sports, and games that encourage lifelong fitness and health.
Promote understanding of health and nutrition concepts, personal hygiene, and general wellbeing.
Organize and coordinate physical education events, such as sports days, inter-house competitions, and fitness challenges.
Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and school leadership.
Ensure the safety and proper use of sports equipment and facilities.
Identify and support students with special physical needs or those requiring differentiated instruction.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and achievements.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate health and fitness themes into cross-curricular activities.
Encourage good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among pupils.
Job Requirements
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical and Health Education or any related field.
Teaching qualification and certification (e.g., TRCN) is preferred.
First Aid Certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years’ work experience in a good School. equivalent significant industry experience will be an added advantage.

Strong organizational and time-management skills
Positive attitude and enthusiasm for physical education
Cultural sensitivity and a child-centered approach.
